PRINCIPLES OF ENGAGEMENT


 

To carry out the mission and work of the Aspen International Mountain Foundation (“Organization”) we endeavor to:

  • Recognize that the chief function of the Organization is to pursue its mission and serve constituent interests. 


  • Exercise discretionary authority under the law to effectively carry out the Organization’s mission and objectives.


  • Uphold the Organization’s governance requirements and establish associated policies, roles and responsibilities. 


  • Accept the responsibility of keeping up to date on emerging issues and informing stakeholders. 


  • Conduct organizational and operational duties with effective leadership and capacity and capability.


  • Serve with respect, concern, courtesy and responsiveness in carrying out the Organization's mission.


  • Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and fortitude in all activities to inspire confidence.


  • Avoid any interest or activity that is in conflict with the conduct of the Organization’s business.


  • Respect and protect privileged information in conducting the Organization’s affairs.
