Phillip brings over a decade of experience in sustainability, land use, and environmental policy to the AIMF Board. He specializes in planning policy, community and environmental sustainability, and the unique social, economic, and environmental challenges of mountain environments and destination communities. Phillip has a M.A. in Land Use and Environmental Planning from the University of Colorado. He works for the City of Aspen as the Principal Long-Range Planner. He has held previous positions as a lecturer in Environmental Studies at Western State College and Fort Lewis College, a Planner for the City of Durango, Colorado, Planner and Sustainability Coordinator for the Town of Crested Butte, Colorado. He serves on the Conservation Leadership Council for the Wilderness Workshop, is a volunteer DJ on KAJX Aspen, and is an enthusiastic outdoorsman and father to his son Charles.
